Description

This event we will be doing fish seining, and participating in the Border Bioblitz! Registration is OPTIONAL.

Nature lovers, bird enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning more about the habitat existing in the heart of our city are welcome! Learn about the birds at Kendall-Frost Marsh and discover the natural history and restoration progress in Mission Bay. Educational docents are available to answer your questions about all things wetlands, birds, and ReWild Mission Bay. Binoculars will be available, to help you take in the extraordinary sights found only in protected habitats like this one.

For this special event, we will be joining the international BorderBioblitz as we observe and document fish, invertebrates, plants, birds, and more! We encourage you to bring a smartphone and have the iNaturalist App downloaded, but if you are having trouble, do not panic, we will be guiding participants through the process.

We will be meeting at the northern end of Crown Point Park near the dirt lot. Please bring water and the appropriate weather attire.

Want to be a docent for this program? Email our Volunteer Coordinator at gonzalez@sandiegoaudubon.org to find out how to get involved.
